Getting Here |
Setting expectations appropriately is a key element to looking back at your experience with satisfaction. Soul Fly is all about transparency and they strive to attract anglers that are the right fit for the lodge.
From expanses of tailing bonefish on firm, wadable white sand flats, to lush turtle grass, ocean edges, thick mangroves, and backcountry creeks, the fishing around Great Harbour Cay is dynamic. Bonefish here range from 2 to 10+ pounds with average fish around 3 to 4 pounds. Permit fishing is a special, long kept secret. A challenging but rewarding pursuit that will test both your mental and physical spirit. The local guide team has been chasing these devils for many years and are well prepared to put you in the best position for shots with arguably the toughest fish to fool with a fly. Add tailing triggerfish to the mix, along with cuda, mutton snapper and other species and you have a diverse Bahamian fly fishing treat waiting for you. |
Nestled into the east side of Great Harbour Cay overlooking the ocean, with an idyllic beach just down the path. The lodge has 4 tastefully-furnished double guest rooms each with a private bathroom. Comfy beds and all the amenities add to your relaxing stay. 8 guests fill the lodge. Rest easy & play hard. Then cool off in the 20 x 50 foot freshwater pool. Perched 22’ above the churning Atlantic on the east side of Great Harbour Cay, the pool is the perfect place to sip a cocktail and unwind from your day on the water.
The restaurant, bar and cocktail lounge offers relaxed dining and drinks inside or out on the terrace. Fine local ingredients like free range chicken eggs, snapper, conch, grouper, lobster, herbs from the garden and, if you’re lucky, a stone crab claw or two. The Fly Shop - flies, tippet, leaders, a selection of fly lines, a Costa sunglasses demo program that benefits Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, unique gifts, and a selection of Soul Fly/Patagonia branded gear. "The brands we work with all share our conservation & sustainability ethos… expect recycled materials and ethically made branded gear. |
