Enjoy a kick-back off-the-beaten path vacation in classic Bahamian style at Peace & Plenty Resort in George Town, Great Exuma.
The renovated resort offers an experience far different from the typical Exuma’s large resort hotels. Peace & Plenty features three different offerings: The Hotel in George Town with 35 island-chic rooms; the Island Cottages on Stocking Island with five cozy cottages all with private decks, and Kahari Resort bungalows exclusively designed to offer the ultimate private island experience.
The hotel is a classic in the heart of George Town, right on the water, excellent restaurant, home of the Goombay Smash, easy walking distance to other restaurants in town, or take the ferry over to Stocking Island and enjoy the gorgeous beach club. We recommend that you rent a boat a car and explore the island on your own, and of course we'll fill you in on all the best places to go and things to see.
Kahari Resort (formerly Lumina Point) on Stocking Island is P&P's sister lodge, and the ideal private island getaway. This boutique, eco-friendly option offers 12 water front bungalows where you can enjoy an authentic and intimate Bahamian experience. The adventure starts with a 5-minute boat ride from The Peace & Plenty Hotel in George Town. At Kahari you will have the opportunity to explore a myriad of nearby uninhabited islands and sand bars or just relax on the incomparable beaches. The resort utilizes renewable energy sources and combines privacy, personalized attention and fine gastronomy that invites guests to unwind and enjoy the unique natural wonders of the island.
What we Love about this Boutique Resort - Our favorite place to stay on Great Exuma, P&P's hotel and private island bungalow options give you the choice of how to enjoy your Bahamian experience.
Want more action? Stay at the hotel and enjoy P&P activities and get out to explore the island. There are a number of fun dining options in walking distance, but better to rent a car to see the island; find DIY bonefishing flats, go play golf, or rent a boat and explores the many deserted cays.
Looking for privacy? Stocking Island is one of the most easily accessible, yet remote feeling cays in the Bahamas. The casually elegant bungalows will make you feel right at home, and frankly, you want to leave. Enjoy fine dining in the restaurant or order room service. And if you want some DIY bonefishing, rent a boat, but you want have to go far to find flats you'll have all to yourself.
And of course we work with the best bonefishing guides on the the island. It's hard to believe how good the fishing is, and how unpressured. Full and half day trips are available, and full day trips include lunch on the boat. Our guides are popular so please book as far in advance as possible.
