TLT Signature Chilean Fly Fishing Trips and Vacation Planning
Our Chilean fly fishing adventures are tailor-made to suit your fishing and travel style. We recommend at least 10 days for your trip (two weeks is better!), including travel, potential stop-overs in Santiago and or other regional hubs like Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas. That said, if you are already in Chile or Argentina, we can seamlessly add-on 3 fishing days or more to your already planned adventure.
Lake District - Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas and Puelo - We fish the Maullin, Petrohue, Coihueco, Rahue, and Puelo Rivers, plus many other smaller streams, spring creeks, and lakes, some of which are only accessible via helicopter. There are many fun options throughout the season so that we can focus on the best hatches and other factors that make the fishing great. Puerto Varas is an enchanting lakeside resort with casually luxurious accommodations, ideal for spending a few days exploring, hiking, playing golf or taking part in water sports on the lake, or just relaxing while enjoying delicious fresh seafood matched with your favorite wines. All itineraries are tailor-made just for you, and we can combine different regions seamlessly.
From the Chaiten, Yelcho, Futaleufu and the Palena region we fish, along with our guides and partners, Lago Yelcho, plus numerous stretches of the Futaleufu, Yelcho, Palena, Rosselot, and Figuero Rivers, plus smaller streams, spring creeks and many lakes, some only accessible via helicopter. We also love to fish the Valle Colorado area, including Rio Azul. There are virtually endless options throughout the season so that we can focus on the best hatches, minnow runs, pancora crab activity, water levels and other factors that make the fishing great.
Continuing south to Coyhaique we fish, along with our guides and partners, numerous stretches of the Simpson, Paloma, Azul, Desague, Emperador Guillermo, and Cisnes Rivers, plus other small streams, spring creeks, lagoons and many lakes. There are virtually endless options throughout the season so that we can focus on the best hatches, water levels, and other factors that make the fishing great.
Torres del Paine and Puerto Natales - The national park and the areas around Puerto Natales have some of the world's purest rivers and lakes. The regions rivers wander through the magnificent landscape, connecting emerald green lakes and numerous lagoons. Species include brown and rainbow trout, brookies, and Chinook salmon. We fish, along with our guides and partners, the Serrano River plus many other streams, lakes and lagoons. For the best fishing options we recommend that our guest stay at The Singular Patagonia or at Explora Patagonia.
